Schulich School of Engineering Maker Multiplex
Market Grade facilitated stakeholder engagement consultations with key internal and external stakeholders to gain meaningful insights from the disciplines of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) in the development of the vision and strategy for the Maker Multiplex (M2) at the Schulich School of Engineering, University of Calgary. The stakeholders re-imagined the design of learning environments to enable collaborative, interdisciplinary teaching to facilitate a hands-on approach to learning. By designing with unhindered access to a wide range of analog and digital tools in the makerspace, students are enabled from diverse backgrounds to apply their creative abilities to transform their own learning in new and unique ways. By doing so, they will discover new possibilities for a future they will help create.
